We are seeking an experienced Skipper with a Skipper with a dual ticket Master 5 / MED 2 qualification, is required on a casual basis for our commercial luxury yacht charter business.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be well presented, energetic and possess a professional attitude and good client relations.

The MV Charter is an 80 foot / 65 ton luxury motor yacht, operating commercially in the Whitsundays.

• corporate events
• Christmas parties
• private celebrations
• extended charters

The successful person will have the following skills and attributes:

• an advanced understanding of how a marine vessel operates and elements of shipboard safety
• well developed written and verbal communication skills and understand basic mathematics
• be physically fit, a self-starter and able to sometimes work extraordinary hours to suit seasonal and prevailing weather conditions
• be a team player, with proven interpersonal skills including leadership, communication and flexibility

The company operates many vessels on its expansive charter business. 

Ideally you will have worked in a similar position.
